· Per Fryxell's DAR material, in reference to Mrs. Myra Reynolds Earle: "...Nathaniel Gardner, (1724-1801), was a minute man, 1777, in the Berkshire county, Mass., militia, under Capt. Thomas Gould and Col. Benjamin Symonds. He was born in Rhode Island; died in Hancock, Mass."
· In re Stella Armitage: "Gr.-gr.-granddaughter of Nathaniel Gardner and Polly Brown, (1743-1841), his wife, m. 1762.
Nathaniel Gardner, (1744-1801), was a minute man 1777, in the Berkshire county, Massachusetts militia under Capt. Thomas Gould and Col. Benjamin Simonds. He was born in Kingston, R. I.; died in Hancock, Mass." This DOB is probably more accurate than the above; he would have been getting up there to have fought in the Revolution (53!); also would make him much much older than his wife.
· In re Sevilla Passmore Davis, DOB is 1742. |
