Joan Frances Reynolds

Joan Frances Reynolds, 71, of Longview passed away on October 15, 2004. She was born on September 5, 1933 in St. Louis, Missouri to Fred B. and Gertrude Reynolds, they preceded her in death. She went to ADA High School in ADA, Oklahoma, class of 1951. She attended Williams Wood College in Fluton, Missouri, and Oklahoma University where she was a drama major and radio major. She was also a member/secretary of the Phi Beta sorority.

From 1956-1976 she lived in Honolulu, Hawaii where she worked for Kona Radio Station and Royal Hawaiian Camera Shop. Joan was a cover model for United Airlines, Paradise of the Pacific Magazine in Honolulu, Margo's Fashions and several other fashion magazines and advertisements. Joan joined Max Factor Make-Up Company as a make-up artist for the Armed Forces Division, where she continued to be employed for the remainder of her stay in Hawaii.

Ms. Reynolds returned to Washington to join her parents around 1978. She worked at the Goodwill until her retirement in 1993. Joan had a great passion for theatre including the local theatre here in Cowlitz County. She loved dancing, music and her classical movies. Joan was very faithful to her neighborhood birds and squirrel's. She leaves behind her 2nd cousins, Valerie Worthen of Sedro Woolley, Washington and Lloyd Worthen of Redmond, Washington and 12 other cousins throughout the Mid-West. She is also survived by her loving neighbors, Jeff & Connie Green of Longview; Jesse Green & Sara Randell of Edmonds, Washington and Kathleen Green of Chico, California. A private burial will take place on Friday, October 22, 2004 at Longview Memorial Park.
